Lisa Fukaya is an animation director and graphic artist from Japan. She graduated from Musashino Art University in Tokyo where she studied Scenography and Fashion Design. She later went on to study animation independently and began to create some animations. After a year she traveled to the Open Workshop in Denmark where she began production of her short film ‘MIMI’ which was nominated at various festivals around the world. Also she graduated from La Poudrière school of animation directing in France.
Lisa Fukaya est une réalisatrice d'animation japonaise. Diplômée de l'université d'art Musashino à Tokyo, où elle a étudié la scénographie et le stylisme. Elle s'est rendue à The Open Workshop au Danemark en 2017, où elle a commencé la production de son court-métrage "MIMI", a été sélectionné à Annecy Festival dans la La compétition des courts métrages. En 2021, elle a sa formation à la Poudrière.
埼玉県出身。武蔵野美術大学空間演出デザイン学科修了。在学中は舞台演出・パフォーマンスアートを主に制作。卒業後、映像ディレクターの中根さや香氏に師事し、CMやミュージックビデオなどのアシスタントを経てアニメーション、ショートフィルムの制作を始める。
2017年にアニメーションフィルムのレジデンスプログラムに選ばれ、Open Workshop(デンマーク)に滞在。その後ラ・プドゥリエール アニメーション研究所(フランス)を修了。代表作「MIMI」はアヌシー国際アニメーション映画祭、文化庁メディア芸術祭などをはじめ国内外で選出されている。
